Chick-fil-A BOWL - Virginia Tech vs. Tennessee



Here are the following players to keep your eye for the 2010 NFL Draft in the Chick-fil-A BOWL.


Virginia Tech:
OG Sergio Render – Render has good size for a guard at 6-3 313 pounds has shown the ability to dominate an defensive linemen at times, but needs to shown consistence to be able to get the second level and block linebackers and defensive backs. Right now has a 4th round grade.


CB Stephan Virgil - Virgil has been ruled academically eligible under NCAA guidelines and will not play in the game but is a good overall cornerback that can cover man and man and in zone coverage and is a willing tackler. Right now has a 4th round grade.


S Kam Chancellor, Virginia Tech – Chancellor has great size for a safety at 6-3 230 pounds and is a very hard hitter, he has played multiple positions in the secondary and was a backup cornerback as a freshman. Even with playing cornerback as a freshman he need to do a better in man to man coverage. Right now he has a 3rd round grade.


S Cody Grimm- Grimm is just a hard worker and has played linebacker and in the secondary and should be a great special teams player in the NFL. Right now has a free-agent grade.


Tennessee:
QB Jonathan Crompton – Crompton was one of the biggest surprises in the SEC and at quarterback this season and has improved every week from week one. He has an NFL body at 6-4 238 and an NFL arm but needs to be more consistent reading coverage’s. Right now has a 4th round grade.


RB Montario Hardesty – Hardesty is another player who came on for Tennessee this season and is a big physical back with good size at 6-0 215 pounds and has the speed and quickness to get to the outside and make plays. Right now has a 3rd round grade.


DT Dan Williams – Williams is a big defensive tackle at 6-2 327 pounds and might have the ability to play nose in a 3-4 defense. He does a good job penetrating and getting in the back field to make tackle for loss. He needs to improve his pass rushing skills and right now has a 2nd round grade.


OLB Rico McCoy – McCoy is just a good overall linebacker and football player who doesn’t do anything overall special but just is consistent in his techniques. He doesn’t have great size at 6-0 220 pounds, but can run and is a good overall athlete. Right now he has a 5th round grade.
