NFL Combine: QB Notes

Jeavan Snead of Mississippi had a good workout throwing the football, but had some correctable mistakes with his footwork that causes a few passes to be inaccurate.

Tim Tebow of Florida showed off his physical ability in to vertial jump with 38.5 inches which was best of all quarterbacks as well the second best broad jump at 9 feet 7 inches. He didn’t throw the football and will do that at his pro day.

Jarrett Brown of West Virginia show what a great athlete he is running a 4.54 40 yard dash and show he had a strong arm and he had very good mechanics throwing the football, but is very raw and will need two years to develop.

Dan LeFevour of Central Michigan disappointed all the NFL scout with not throwing but did do the test and was second fastest in the 40 yard dash with 4.66, and was second in the 3-cone drill with a time of 6.93.

Tony Pike of Cincinnati threw the ball well and was 5th in the 3-cone drill with a time of 7.06, he still was skinny and really needs to bulk up, but showed a strong arm and should be a starter in the NFL sometime.

John Skelton of Fordham showed a big arm but wasn’t as accurate as people like to see, he needs to improve his footwork but is a guy that some people like because they think of the upside that he could have down the road.

Sean Canfield of Oregon State doesn’t have the strongest of arms but does a good job putting the ball where it needs to be and could be a back-up quarterback in the NFL.
