Fantasy Football players don’t worry running back Chris Johnson will be with the Tennessee Titans week one of the season. Johnson is the heart and sole of the Titans offense and had a historic season last year only in his second year in the NFL. The team switched to quarterback Vince Young and he led the team back to an 8-8 final record for the season. Young will open the season as the starter and the team expects him to continue to develop to a better all around quarterback.
The Titans drafted defensive end Derrick Morgan in the first round and expect him to provide some pass rush help to the team since they lost defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch in free agency. The defense added linebacker Will Witherspoon as a free-agent and expect to take the place of Keith Bulluck who is still a free-agent and could possible return to the Titans. Cornerback Cortland Finnegan needs to stay healthy as he 3 games last season, all games the Titans lost.
Head coach Jeff Fisher has the longest tenure as head coach with one team among active head coaches in the NFL and needs to keep winning and there are some whispers around the NFL that he is on the hot seat in Tennessee. If this team plays like they did the last 10 games of the season in which they won 8 games, Fisher won’t have to worry about his job in 2011.
